Welcome to Culturo. These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Culturo mobile application, related websites, and services (collectively, the “Service”) operated by Culturo LLC (“we,” “us,” “our,” or “Culturo”). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.
You must be at least 18 years old to create an account and use Culturo. By creating an account, you confirm that you meet this age requirement.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately at hello@culturo.com if you suspect unauthorized access.
Culturo builds suggested travel itineraries. Based on the preferences, behaviors, and information you provide, our system suggests destinations, experiences, lodging neighborhoods, day plans, and contextual cultural information.
We don’t book your trip. Culturo provides recommendations and itineraries. You are responsible for making all actual bookings — flights, hotels, restaurants, tours, transportation. Any links to third-party services are provided for convenience only.
Recommendations are not guarantees. Local conditions change. Restaurants close. Tours sell out. Weather happens. Use Culturo’s suggestions as a starting point and verify critical details (especially anything time-sensitive, safety-related, or money-sensitive) with primary sources before committing.
Safety-critical information is not advice. When Culturo surfaces safety, health, allergy, or accessibility information, treat it as one data point among many. Do not substitute Culturo’s information for advice from medical professionals, official government sources, or qualified travel advisors.
You retain ownership of any content you provide to Culturo (trip preferences, feedback, notes, etc.). By providing that content, you grant Culturo a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use it for the purpose of operating, improving, and personalizing the Service for you.
We use your information to build trips for you, improve our recommendations over time, and operate the Service. We do not sell your personal information to third parties. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
Trips, recommendations, and cultural context cards in Culturo are generated using AI models (currently Anthropic’s Claude). AI-generated content may contain inaccuracies, outdated information, or errors. We work to minimize these but cannot guarantee perfect accuracy.
If you notice a meaningful error in generated content, please report it via the in-app feedback channel or to hello@culturo.com so we can investigate.

You can delete your account at any time from the Settings screen. Deletion is irreversible after a 30-day grace period; signing back in within 30 days cancels the pending deletion.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or that we reasonably believe are being used for fraud, abuse, or harm to other users or the Service.
Culturo is currently in early-access beta. Features may change, break, or disappear. We work to communicate honestly when things are broken or missing. By using the Service during this period, you acknowledge that the experience is incomplete and that issues will occur.
Some features (advisor marketplace, paid tiers, group reconciliation features) are explicitly on the roadmap but not yet available. We do not guarantee any specific feature will ship.
Culturo is currently free during beta. If we introduce paid features, the terms governing those features will be presented at the time of subscription and you will not be charged without your express consent.
The Service may rely on third-party services (Anthropic for AI generation, Supabase for authentication and data storage, Google Places for geocoding, OpenWeather for weather data, Expo for push notifications). Your use of those services is also subject to their respective terms.
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, OR THE ACCURACY OF AI-GENERATED CONTENT.
We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure, or that any defects will be corrected.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, CULTURO IS NOT LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST PROFITS, REVENUES, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE — EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.
Our total liability for any claim arising from or related to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim (currently $0 during free beta).
You agree to indemnify and hold Culturo harmless from any claim, loss, liability, or expense (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising from your violation of these Terms, your use of the Service, or your violation of any law or third-party rights.
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will notify you via the app or via the email associated with your account. Continued use of the Service after notice constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. Disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Service will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Mecklenburg County, North Carolina.
